i've been way too lazy lately to do this flippin blog. SO, yeah it's been a long time. classes are easy for the most part, except for my greek economy class because i suck at economics and our professor has an intense spanish/greek accent so we never know what she's saying. went to a local cafe/bar last thursday after failing hardcore to find the carnival that was supposedly occurring. there were probably only 15 of us there and 2 old greek men who were loving us. blacked out off free shots of vodka and tequila [don't judge me mom], because everyone knows how much i love free shit, and danced the night away. went on a bike tour around the acropolis friday which was so fantastic. it was one of the few nicer days we've had, and just one of the best things i've done so far. saturday went to the coast for a field trip to the sea turtle sanctuary which was terrible. it was cool to see the sea turtles for the minute that we did, but it was SO cold and raining and our professor is so boring and it took us 3 hours round trip to be there for an hour. suchawaste. saturday night we celebrated jeremy's 21st and ended up at a club. we all got drunk so it was a success. i was supposed to go out to an irish pub to watch the superbowl last night. i mean, we did go, mainly because we were told there would be nachos, but the kitchen was closed so i immediately peaced with 2 other girls to find food. ended up getting lazy and didn't want to go back, and got lost trying to find our way back to the bus stop. found another bus stop but waited for so long we just took a cab and went to tgifridays because nachos were all we wanted in the entire world. somehow got lost AGAIN after the cab driver dropped us off. when we finally found it, it was closed. hated life that night. except god shined light on a creperie across the street that was magically the only place open in the city at 3am so we enjoyed crepes which made me happy. i was smart enough to leave my coat at the irish pub when we went exploring for food, which also had my phone and keys in it, so i slept on a couch at the girls' apartment, except i couldnt sleep at all. obtained my coat when everyone got back at 6am, went back to my apartment around 830 except OHWAIT i got lost because i didn't know where their apartment was in relation to mine. i looked like absolute shit too, all the greeks were judging me. but it was fine because i sleep all day today.
hopefully either going to crete, or delphi, or patras for greece's carnival version of mardi gras this weekend!

i have now accumulated three friends that enjoy following my life. this is exciting. i spent the last few days in Nafplio, Greece, which is a coastal town and is so beautiful. We climbed that ^^ YEAH, flippin 1000 steps. i forgot my camera connector so i stole that from the internet. i think it was an old military fortress/jail, but it had the most amazing views of the entire town and coast. i explored with destini, ella and natalia a lot, just around the town for the most part, ate some of the local food and whatnot. they took us out to eat one night and it was delicious and it was the first time i really ate out in greece so it was cool to try a lot of their food. we went out the first night to this cool bar, but a lot of our 50person group went so it was clear we were all annoying americans. the next night we went out to another bar that was hoppin and was loud but really fun for a while, until we sat in the vip-ish section where you had to buy a 90euro bottle. they let us stay because we're stupid, harmless americans and were dancing and having fun, until they stole their bottle of whisky and shit started going down, among other things. obviously i ran away so it didnt seem like i was associated with them, but when we came back we all danced and had a lovely time. we were supposed to meet at 12 today to leave and my one roommate and i woke up at 1145 when the cleaning lady walked into our room. just lovely..
i am now back and have found the perfect spot in my room for internet! success. tonight is natalia's 21st birthday so we are eating and celebrating and i am soexcited. birthdays are my absolute favorite.
also, i have officially made it one full week in greece. you all best be so proud and be sending me packages asap

i have since slept more [barely], eaten more [a lot], and am less sickly! i was hoping to go OUT tonight but a gyro[gluten]+downing some sort of large iced coffee=disaster, and im still feeling the effects SIX hours later. but i have to wake up earlyish anyway so im hoping tomorrow night will be better.
today we went to massive open air market and i bought a bunch of fruits and vegetables for super low prices. i was pretty proud considering the only thing i'd learned to say after a 3 hour greek lesson was "good day". 'twas fun. i got a cell phone! call me biDDY. it'll probably cost you a shit ton, but that's okay cuz it'll be foFREe for me.
i met a girl on the plane who goes to school in Crete and made me scared for my life to be in Athens, but i'm loving it so far. i heard there was a lot of theft, but people are actually pretty nice and some man told me to close my purse for that reason. it's probably because im so good looking and stuff.
